Human Resources Generalist

Envision Technology, an innovative small business delivering advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our growing manufacturing engineering organization. In this role, you will partner closely with engineering leadership to recruit, onboard, and support engineering talent while ensuring HR operations align with a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support full-cycle recruiting efforts with a focus on engineering roles, including drafting job descriptions, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, coordinating and scheduling interviews, and assisting hiring managers throughout the selection process.
- Partner with engineering leadership to understand workforce needs, skill requirements, and team growth strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and represent the organization at onsite and offsite career fairs, including events held outside regular business hours.
- Coordinate and execute onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a seamless integration into engineering teams, including orientation, documentation, and system access.
- Maintain and audit employee records, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements for all employees.
- Act as a liaison between Human Resources and engineering teams, fostering clear communication and alignment on policies, procedures, and organizational goals.
- Serve as a resource for employees, particularly technical staff, by answering HR-related questions and escalating complex issues as needed.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and practices that support a high-performance engineering culture.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, with attention to regulations impacting defense and engineering environments (e.g., ITAR).
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and professional development within engineering teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five plus years of HR experience, preferably supporting engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Experience recruiting for technical or engineering roles strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of technical skill sets and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and hiring managers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation accuracy.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related HR systems.
- Ability to move up to 25 pounds.
