Shipping and Receiving Specialist

2+ Years – On Site – Full-Time

Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, seeks a Shipping and Receiving Specialist.  In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within the facility and preparation of outgoing shipments.

Responsibilities:

  • Unload incoming shipments
  • Ensure incoming material is free of any visual defect or damage
  • Verify quantity received agree with packing slip and purchase order
  • Receive material into the ERP system
  • Distribute material to the proper location with the facility
  • Pack and prepare items for shipments following work instructions
  • Create shipping labels and confirm shipments are properly labeled
  • Complete and maintain required shipping and receiving paperwork
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding shipping and receiving discrepancies
  • Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, and stockroom
  • Knowledge of basic inventory management practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended period of time
