Army & USSOCOM Business Development Manager

3+ Years – Onsite or Remote – Full-Time

Envision Technology, LLC is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth across Army and USSOCOM portfolios. This role is responsible for identifying and establishing new customer relationships, managing existing customers, and implementing expansion strategies. You will ensure customers receive the best products and services by bridging the gap between technical capabilities and tactical needs. You will play a key role in capture management for new opportunities, pipeline growth, product development needs & desires, and managing internal and external expectations.

The ideal candidate has experience working with Electro-Optics, Night Vision and Unmanned Systems (Drones), bringing advanced tactical systems to market, understands and can articulate the key concepts and characteristics of these systems, and can build a cohesive strategy to penetrate, expand, and deliver at-scale these capabilities direct to the Department of War (DoW), its Global partners, and to other industry partners in the United States and around the world. You will create and shape the strategic long-term business opportunities based on operational analysis, user feedback generated through live force exercises, and engagements with requirements owners, capability portfolio managers, and program offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the business development for U.S. Army and USSOCOM customer base.
  • Build a robust, multi-year pipeline. Qualifies and shapes opportunities within the Army & USSOCOM through direct customer engagement at all echelons.
  • Develop and execute complex program capture strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and manufacturing to ensure alignment between customer requirements and technical solutions.
  • Lead and take a hands-on approach to proposal development, market analysis, and strategic planning activities.
  •  Identify potential new customers while managing and developing existing relationships within the Army and USSOCOM communities.
  •  Develop unique selling propositions and sales strategies to meet targets and expand the company’s customer base and overall growth.
  • Develop and manage a growing pipeline.
  •  Manage key accounts pre- and post-sale, ensuring customer satisfaction through tailored solutions and programmatic support.
  •  Create business proposals, lead initial negotiations, and close deals as part of a collaborative team.
  •  Identify, organize, and travel to industry events, trade shows, and operational units to strengthen Envision Technology’s market presence.
  • Support Trade Show and event planning as necessary.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (equivalent professional/military experience will be considered)
  •  At least 3-5 years of experience in Sales/Business Development with Government or DoW customers
  •  Leadership experience within the U.S. Army or USSOCOM may be considered in lieu of traditional corporate sales experience.
  •  Experience in a role working with customers in the Defense/DoW market
  •  Understanding and/or knowledge of EO/IR, night vision and drones
  •  Experience in the planning/execution of military operations
  •  Ability to support government programs from early concepts through capture
  •  Must possess (or be eligible to obtain) a Security Clearance
  •  Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (OCONUS and CONUS)
  •  Strong skills in building and delivering tailored presentations on technical, tactical and networking concepts to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
