Supply Chain Intern

2+ Years – On Site – Full-Time

Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, seeks a Supply Chain Intern.  In this role, you will support our stockroom expansion project and the day‑to‑day operations within the Supply Chain department.  This role offers hands‑on experience in inventory management, material flow, organization, and cross‑functional supply chain activities including receiving, shipping, and procurement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the stockroom expansion project, including organizing parts and creating new storage locations.
  • Optimize material flow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflow.
  • Conduct a full physical inventory and support ongoing cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure locations are properly labeled and organized.
  • Assist the Receiving with unloading, scanning, labeling, and processing incoming materials.
  • Support Shipping with order preparation, packaging, and organizing outbound shipments.
  • Provide administrative support to Procurement, including PO follow‑up and data organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflow within the department.
  • Perform additional administrative or project‑based tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on environment with physical materials and inventory
  • Interest in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended period of time
