Position Summary

As a Business Development/Drone & Unmanned Systems, you will be working alongside a collaborative team, you will help develop and deliver the high quality products and innovative solutions that define Envision Technology.

Envision Technology, an innovative small business developing and producing advanced electro-optical systems and Unmanned Systems (UMS) for defense and law enforcement applications, is seeking a Business Development professional to join our rapidly growing Drone/Unmanned Systems division. This position requires flexibility to manage multiple pursuits and analytical skills to guide the capture of business opportunities which align with Envision’s business strategy. In this role, you will support the growth of Envision’s unmanned systems portfolio by identifying new business opportunities, building customer relationships, and translating user needs into actionable technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects across various locations, applying analytical and strategic skills to drive successful business outcomes.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities in the drone/unmanned systems space.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Envision’s product and service capabilities and limitations.
  • Analyze customer requirements, budget constraints, and competitive landscapes to inform strategy.
  • Monitor and maintain intelligence on market trends and customer needs within defense and law enforcement sectors, both domestic and international.
  • Develop capture strategies, proposals, and go-to-market plans that align with company objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for DoD customers and end users.
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships, acting as the “voice of the customer” within the organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and program teams to ensure technical solutions align with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and attend trade shows, demonstrations, industry events, and other key customer engagements.
  • Gather market-leading intelligence and information about product and market areas assigned and disseminate information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning strategy, business capture, sales forecasting and the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
  • Partner with Envision’s international Business Development to track, capture and manage OCONUS opportunities.
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify trends, customer priorities, and competitive dynamics to shape both short-and long-term business strategies.
  • Establish and maintain key business contacts critical to successful business development and growth including distribution and reseller networks for Envision’s products.
  • Coordinate with the broader BD and sales team to support commercial sales and partner initiatives as needed.
  • Provide regular pipeline updates and status briefings to management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and required actions.
  • Contribute to the company’s product roadmap and annual business development and sales plan.
  • Support proposal and bid activities for both domestic and international business opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment with program managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field preferred. Relevant military, operational, or technical experience may substitute for formal education.
  • 2+ years of experience in drone/UMS business development and sales experience.
  • Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (FAA) strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the dismounted Warfighter drone/UMS market, including key customers and competitive landscape.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and other internal and external personnel.
  • Experience with system expectations in a Military and Law Enforcement environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to capture new business and cultivate customer relationships on behalf of the company.
  • Experienced in customer and product new equipment training.
  • Ability to move up to 25 pounds.
