Position Summary

As a Electrical Engineer, you will be working alongside a collaborative team, you will help develop and deliver the high quality products and innovative solutions that define Envision Technology.

Envision Technology, an innovative business developing and producing advanced electro-optical systems and Unmanned Modular Systems (UMS) for defense and law enforcement applications, is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its UMS division. In this role, you are responsible for the electrical design, layout, integration, and test of sUAS systems, subsystems, and test platforms for defense applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design hardware from concept through production.
  • Create schematics, perform BOM selection, and support PCB layout.
  • Develop analog, digital, power, sensor, and motor control circuits.
  • Lead RF design and integration, including radio and antenna selection, impedance matching, filtering, shielding, and EMI mitigation.
  • Specify and integrate communications hardware for reliable command and control, telemetry, video links, and networking.
  • Support prototype bring-up, debugging, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with software and mechanical teams on integration and system optimization.
  • Support manufacturing transition, documentation, design changes, and production support.
  • Participate in architecture trade studies and technology evaluations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Three-plus years of experience in mixed signal hardware design.
  • Strong analog and digital design fundamentals.
  • Hands-on PCB design, schematic capture, and BOM management.
  • Solid understanding of RF principles, antennas, transmission lines, matching, filtering, and wireless communications.
  • Experience integrating OEM modules and COTS components.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, logic analyzers.
  • Knowledge of DFM and DFT practices.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with UAS or defense electronics.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi, LTE/5G, mesh, SDRs, FPV, GNSS.
