Human Resources Business Partner

Envision Technology, an innovative small business delivering advanced electro-optical and unmanned systems solutions for defense applications, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support our growing manufacturing and engineering organization. In this role, you will provide both strategic and hands-on HR support to Engineering and Program Management, spanning full-cycle recruitment through day-to-day guidance and employee relations. You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping to shape our workforce, enhance team effectiveness, and ensure an exceptional employee experience as the organization continues to scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Engineering and Program Management leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Provide daily HR support to employees and managers, including performance management, coaching, employee relations, and problem-solving.
  • Lead workforce planning and talent forecasting to ensure future capability needs.
  • Support full-cycle talent management, including performance reviews, talent development, training, career development, and succession planning.
  • Develop standard operating procedures to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality execution of departmental activities.
  • Conduct investigations and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention efforts, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends, to support data-driven decisions, and recommend people-focused solutions
  • Support change management activities for organizational and process changes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Oversee internship program planning, recruitment, onboarding, development activities, and end-of-program evaluations.
  • Represent the organization at spring and fall recruiting events and build strong partnerships with the academic institutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of HR programs and policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and prepare HR reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including HR partnering and employee relations.
  • Experience supporting technical or engineering teams preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, employment laws, and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to interpret HR data and provide strategic insights.
  • Experience with recruiting and early-career/internship program management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related HR systems.
  • Ability to move up to 25 pounds.
