Shipping and Receiving Specialist
2+ Years – On Site – Full-Time
Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, seeks a Shipping and Receiving Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within the facility and preparation of outgoing shipments.Â
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments
- Ensure incoming material is free of any visual defect or damage
- Verify quantity received agree with packing slip and purchase order
- Receive material into the ERP system
- Distribute material to the proper location with the facility
- Pack and prepare items for shipments following work instructions
- Create shipping labels and confirm shipments are properly labeled
- Complete and maintain required shipping and receiving paperwork
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipping and receiving discrepancies
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, and stockroom
- Knowledge of basic inventory management practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended period of time
