Envision Technology, an innovative company developing unmanned aerial and ground systems for defense applications, seeks a motivated Image Processing Software Engineer.  The Software Engineer is responsible for development, implementation, debugging, and testing of video processing applications and embedded software used in unmanned systems, subsystems, and test platforms for defense applications.Â
Responsibilities:
- Implement video compression and image processing controls on embedded processorsÂ
- Develop and implement drivers and control algorithms for FPGA-based image processingÂ
- Assist in selecting interface and support hardware (Microprocessors/Microcontrollers and support devices)Â
- Interface with others in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment, including mechanical, electrical, systems, program managers, suppliers, and customersÂ
- Work with electrical engineering to debug and troubleshoot complex electronic and software designsÂ
- May work with customers, suppliers, and users of the devicesÂ
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of experience writing software for imaging systems Â
- Embedded Linux (e.g. Yocto)Â
- Kernel driversÂ
- Flow control (latency modulation)Â
- Experience with GStreamerÂ
- Networking / Radio networking / congestion managementÂ
- C/C++Â
- Git/Version controlÂ
- Ability to read schematics and utilize lab test equipment ( e.g. Multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzersÂ
- Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, UART, USB, MIPI etc.Â
- CODEC implementation experience – e.g. H.264/H.265/AV1 – (a plus)Â
- Camera sensor configuration (a plus)Â
- Semi-autonomous and autonomous systems development (a plus)Â
- Ability to move up to 25 pounds.Â
